We were ENORMOUSLY blessed by members of Pine Valley UMC. We were given more clothes than we could ever have room for so Goodwill will be given a nice donation as well. We always love the opportunity to bless others with what we have been blessed with.
We packed children's medicine, toys, shoes, children's clothes, clothes for the homeless men and women as well as other little items into foot lockers to donate in Guyana!! We were also so blessed by a women's ministry at PVUMC that made beautiful pillow cases with Bible verses on the inside. The children will love these and will have a sweet blessing under their heads as they fall asleep every night :)
I am also so excited to introduce our team to you all this year!! We are led by the wonderful Jeff and Melissa Butler! We have returning team members, Miles, Michael, Lauren, and Guyana-native Derick, going again this year. We also have new members, Leah and Holly, joining the team. As always, we will meet Tessa, Joshua, and Andy in Guyana when we arrive.
Our meeting was a sweet time of bonding, trying to cram as much as possible into foot lockers, lots of laughter, and just truly getting excited for everything God has in store for us in Guyana.
We head out extremely early next Tuesday and would so appreciate your prayers for safe and smooth traveling and an easy transition into the Guyanese way of life while we are there!! Your prayers mean the world to us. I know that I am beyond excited to see so many sweet faces I have been missing and introduce them to all of our new team members!!
